    Hi Ann,
Georgia marriage laws (at that time) stated that marriages would be recorded in bride's home county. Susannah Boring and John Malone married in Greene Co, GA in 1811. Joseph Boring, Jr. is the only one who would be old enough to be her father that I find mention of in Greene County in 1811.
If she was the daughter of Joseph, Jr. that would make her a first cousin to Robert Boring, father-in-law of her daughters Cassandra and Rebecca -- and Cassandra, Rebecca, Lovick and Isaac David Boring second cousins. I descend through Isaac David Boring married Rebecca H. Malone. Isaac D. was administrator of John Malone's estate.
There is enough evidence to confirm that Robert Boring was father of Lovick.
I have an affidavit from a granddaughter of Isaac David Boring who lived to be 105 and remembered some of the older members of the family.
I didn't follow through on my research but was trying to prove/disprove that John Malone was the son of Drury Malone of Greene Co, GA, formerly of VA. On 1850 census John Malone gave place of birth as VA.; Principal=Susannah Boring4

I have researched the Greene Co., Ga. Malones for a very long time. I have been mystified as to the identity of this John Malone, but wonder how you come across names of his and Susannah Boring's children. John Malone, who died in about 1816 Greene Co., Ga. had a wife, Martha and sons named John, Doctor R., Young Gresham, Thompson and Clement Malone. Wife, Martha, md. second a man named Arthur Loving, who also died. A Robert Booth took over the Loving estate, and first mother Martha Loving, and then later
a William Robinson, guardian of the children. Since your John also had a son named Thompson, he is likely r/to this line-which suggests he is a son of either Drury Malone and wife, Cecily/Sisely Johnston Malone of Lunenburg Co., Va.-or their son, David Malone, or Peter Malone md. Ann Harding, or William Malone md. Polly Baxter. I have lots of documentation of the Malones in general, and the ones of Greene Co., Ga. in particular.

Where did John and Susan go after Greene Co., Ga.
I have other Greene Co., Ga. Malone marriages, unaccounted for males with spouses.5

I found the children of John Malone & Susanna Boring listed in the FTM software vol.3 It states that this John Malone died abt. 1860. Their 2nd child (Martha Ann Malone) b 1/7/1814 in AL m. 5/15/1830 Thomas Jefferson Smith, Sr.
I also found more Malone's on FTM vol 5. The info I have is:::
    Descendants of Daniel Malone

    ......... 2 George Malone 1670 -
    ......... 2 Daniel Malone 1670 -

    ........................................... 5 Bannister Malone 1775 - 1841
    ......... 2 Nathaniel Malone 1670 - 1732

So I think the John Malone I was asking about is the s. of Thomas Malone and Susanna Tuck. In the book Malone and allied Families p. 173 it shows Thomas Malone and Susanna Tuck with Children: John, Henry, Nathaniel, William, Thomas S. Unfortunately that is where I'm stuck. right now I have no further info about this John Malone s. of Thomas.5
  • Research Note*: 23 November 2019; This John Malone, through the two daughters listed, is somehow related to my first cousin James Eugene McIntosh, and hence to me. And this John is also related somehow to my wife Cathy McBirnie's Malone line, as these folks are showing up in her Thrulines on Ancestry.com as well.6
