JOHN F. HICKS
The subject of this sketch was born in Georgia 55 years ago and moved with his family to Covington County, Alabama, 23 years ago where he made his home until the time of his death which occurred Feb. 22, 1923.
Mr. Hicks was a faithful member of the Methodist Church and died in the full triumph of the faith of the true Christian that he was. He was a devoted father and faithful and loving husband and neighbor and friend to all the people whom he knew.
He leaves a wife and three children to mourn him. The esteem in which Mr. Hicks was held was attested by the many kindnesses shown by them during his last illness and by the expressions of sympathy and condolences to his stricken family at the time of his death.
